The restaurant first opened in 1957, with the name Capanna Rio Gere, following the Winter Olympics in Cortina. The “hut” was run by Ado and Augusta, grandparents of the current owner, Nicola Bellodis.
The consecutive management by three generations over the years has enabled the renovation, evolution and transformation of the Capanna Rio Gere into the well-kept restaurant that it has become today.
Hosts Nicola and Adriana place particular importance on welcoming guests and creating a characteristic, comfortable environment.
